Not my normal post – Issues of Evangelicalism from the InternetMonk

An individual that I follow on Twitter recently posted a link to some articles about modern Evangelicalism and the author’s issue with it.  Admittedly, I have not paid much attention to any of the author’s other material or theology so I cannot speak to the rest of his work.  However, I found these articles to be a very good read, and although I cannot say that I agree with every point of contention, I can honestly say that I do find a great deal of validity in what the author has to say.  If we look at our own churches objectively we can, no doubt, see ourselves in at least one – if not many – of the descriptions laid out in the text.  That is not to say that it is good or bad, but I think that any individual or organization stands to improve itself through careful self-evaluation.

I encourage you to take some time to read through these if for no other reason than to learn about an opposing viewpoint.
